ISLAMABAD: Chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar, on Wednesday, took suo moto notice of target killings taking place against the Hazara community in Quetta.
He stated that the people of the Hazara community were unable to move freely because of these killings. He also lamented the fact that children of the community could not go to schools or colleges due to a fear of being targeted.
He also asked the provincial governments about the measures and precautions it has taken so far to deal with the menace.
The CJP also expressed solidarity with the beleaguered community and ordered a report from the Interior Ministry and the law enforcement agencies.
