Elections are being contested in Pakistan amidst fear and a sense of uncertainty. As polling day goes by increasing aggression among different party workers has led to several serious brawls and one person is reported to be dead as a result of the fighting.
In Sawabi’s city Kernel, outside the polling station, workers with different political affiliations were engaged in a heated argument which eventually led to a violent confrontation and as a result of firing one person lost his life while four are reportedly seriously injured.
In another polling station in Daki, four polling agents have been also been reported to be seriously injured in a brawl.
Also, in Lyari’s Bahar Colony which is NA-241, a suspicious person was allegedly entering the polling station but he was intercepted by the police before he could do so.
