NEW DELHI – India’s versatile film actress Divya Dutta will be next seen in a film titled ‘Irada in Patiala,’ and her character draws similarities with that of former foreign affairs minister Hina Rabbani Khar.
Along with seasoned actor Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi, Divya will be playing a role of a Punjabi politician Ramandeep. The Indian media reported that the film actress has talent to copy Hina Khar.
“Although it wasn’t deliberate, the look is really attractive and yes, has similarities to the way Hina Khar dressed and conducted herself,” Divya said. “When I landed on set in getup many commented on how I looked like Hina and we decided to keep the look since the reactions were so positive,” she said.
Ramandeep is a Punjabi woman of grit and determination who is alternatively loud and subtle. “It didn’t require much prep because the directors Aparna Singh and Nishant Tripathi, knew exactly what they wanted. I simply followed their vision,” the actress said.
